Objectives

The purpose of this experiment is

  • To determine the peak voltage (VP) in an UJT circuit.
  • To determine the valley voltage (VV) in an UJT circuit.
  • To calculate the intrinsic standoff ratio (η) for an UJT.
  • To demonstrate the changes in peak voltage, valley voltage, and intrinsic stand off ratio when the applied voltage to an UJT circuit is changed.
  • To demonstrate the outputs of an UJT relaxation oscillator.
  • To demonstrate how the output frequency of a UJT relaxation oscillator is changed.
