Objectives

The purpose of this experiment is

  • To construct a Lamp dimmer using Diac & Triac.
  • To build a Lamp control circuit using Triac.
  • To trigger the gate of the triac using diac (bi-directional device)
  • To vary the firing angle using the gate control and simultaneously the brightness of the lamp.
